CASSM support tools

Cassata is an editor for CASSM models, to simplify creating the tabular representation, written in tcl/tk and available as part of the CASSM package. The package includes directions for obtaining a version of tcl/tk bundled with the necessary extras.

Cassata is quick to learn and quick to use. CASSM models are displayed as interactive tables which can be readily manipulated. Potential problem areas can be detected from the automatic colour coding. editing a Cassata model 1

Cassata includes automated analysis for several types of misfit.

The models may be stored as .csm files, to be read in again by Cassata, or they can be exported in one of several forms: RTF files to be input by Word; XML (we include an XSLT stylesheet to transform XML to HTML); or Prolog assertions, to allow other types of formal reasoning on the models. Tables can also be cut and pasted into suitable applications, including other Cassata models, to encourage re-use of analyses.
