The main focus of my research is on ways of answering the question "How well does your system fit?", in terms of cognition, interaction and work. Broad themes include:

I currently lead two EPSRC-funded projects: CHI+MED (on human error and the design of medical devices) and a Platform Grant (also on usability of systems in healthcare).

I teach Usability Evaluation Methods and Organisational Informatics on the MSc HCI-E.

I have several external roles and links.
