General Information

Description: The course has two aims: to cover basic research methods and to give the students the opportunity to write and present a literature review associated with the summer project. In this course, the students will learn about scientific methodology, research ethics, statistics and hypothesis testing, the structure of a scientific paper and oral presentation issues.

Prerequisites: This course is exclusively for students of the MSc Computer Graphics, Vision & Imaging programme, and for EngD students of the EngD VEIV programme.
Assessment: The assessment will be based on two course works, a written literature review and a final presentation. See here for more information.
Readings: There is no dedicated text book. During the lectures, pointers to relevant research papers will be provided.
