The last straw
I was disappointed to find
Computing supports ID cards (Realism reaches ID card plan, 13 July).
I can find no merit in the government's proposals, nor can it seemingly find a good reason for having ID cards.
As the UK hurtles towards a surveillance society. I fear that these cards, holding biometric details among other things, will be the last straw.
This is not the kind of society I wish to live in. Can you convince the of the merits of such cards, as I do not trust the government to do so?
