Description
Program directors from the US National Science Foundation (NSF) will hold an informational session for current and prospective investigators. Topics will include funding opportunities in Software Engineering and related areas, the proposal process, and the US funding outlook. The session will include discussions on the state of the community and future directions.

The panel brings together representatives from funding bodies of different countries and tries to illustrate, compare and evaluate the different strategies adopted to define the research agendas, the focus on long versus short term research, the assessment procedures, and the concertated initiatives, focusing in particular on software engineering.
